Handmade in Brazil
The B-Mesh used by Veja is made from recycled plastic bottles. 3 plastic bottles are used to create a pair of sneakers. This upcycling process creates a smart fabric, both breathing and waterproof. Upper in B-mesh. Vegan nubuck sections. Lining in Jersey (100% recycled polyester). Logo V made of wild rubber. Inner sole made out of organic cotton and expanded PU. Sole made of wild rubber from the amazonian forest (60%). Do not machine wash.
Size & Fit
The style comes up a little large. If you are between two sizes, it is better to take a size down.
About the Brand
In 2004, childhood friends Sébastien Kopp and François-Ghislain Morillion founded Veja, a line of socially conscious sneakers inspired by vintage volleyball shoes. The French house works with Brazilian farmers to produce its minimal, subtly branded low-tops using organic cotton, wild rubber, and other sustainable materials. Known for its commitment to ethical business practices, the cult-worthy label forgoes traditional advertising and credits its success to word-of-mouth marketing.
