Handwoven in India
Made of ultra-soft cotton in a traditional hand-operated Malabar wooden loom. We've slightly adapted this 500-year old tradition by adding a subtle "floating" weave accent and a softer color palette. Pre-washed and gets softer with every wash. Each set comes with its own gift bag and card - a perfect made-from-scratch partner for your kitchen adventures, or a gift for an amateur chef.

Along the southwestern "Malabar" coast of India, in an oppressively humid equatorial climate, what you wear is important. Handloomed cotton from this region is renowned for its rich texture and high absorption capacity and is commonly used to make towels and airy apparel. This is also our lowest energy textile - no electricity is used in the entire process. Yarn is hand-spun, then hand-dyed and line-dried, and eventually hand-loomed.
About the Brand
Textiles have been handmade in India for thousands of years. Highly specialized techniques of weaving, dyeing and embroidery have been carefully passed down hundreds of generations. Bloom & Give admires the artisans that practice these traditional techniques with pride and precision. Their goal is to use age-old techniques to create contemporary designs that can be enjoyed in everyday life. The brand works with small co-ops that share their relentless pursuit of excellence and quality, and their belief in fair wages. Bloom & Give donates 10% of sales to support girls' education programs in India. Research shows that educating girls is one of the most effective ways to turn the tide of poverty and fight gender inequality. When a girl goes to school she earns more money, has healthier children, and reinvests more in her family. An education changes her life, and the lives of generations to come.
