FAQS

HOW QUICKLY WILL MY ORDER SHIP?

Orders are shipped out within 3 business days of being placed. We are still a lean, growing team and are working to get your order to you as quickly as possible as soon as it is placed – thank you for your patience and understanding!

I TRIED TO CONTACT YOU VIA EMAIL BUT HAVE NOT HEARD BACK. WHEN CAN I EXPECT A RESPONSE?

Your questions and opinions are very important to us and our customer service team is working to reply to your email as soon as possible. We greatly appreciate your patience and will get back to you within 3 business days of receiving your message. As our small business cannot guarantee an immediate response, return requests will not be penalized if we are unable to get back to you within our return request window. We look forward to speaking with you soon!

I REQUESTED AN RMA# AND RETURN SHIPPING LABEL BUT HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANYTHING. WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?

When a return request is received, our customer service team will follow up with you directly to learn a little bit more about why you want to return and to explain the details of the return process. The return shipping labels are NOT included in this email – they are automatically generated through our online shipping provider and will be sent to you in a separate email. Please check your spam folder if you do not see it in your regular inbox.

If you are still unable to locate your return label please email orders@accompanyus.com and we will send you a PDF file of your return shipping label as soon as possible.

You may, alternately, send back the return yourself – if you choose to send the return yourself we will not deduct an $8.95 return shipping fee from your refund or store credit. We are not able to reimburse you for the return postage.

DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?

Yes, we currently ship to the following countries: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom.

We use DHL as our international shipping provider, and our shipping rates vary based on this service. Accompany strives to quote the most accurate cost for international shipments based on destination country, but we are unable to include import duties, fees, or taxes at this time. Any additional costs incurred upon delivery are the responsibility of the recipient.

HOW DOES ACCOMPANY ITSELF GIVE BACK TO COMMUNITIES WORLDWIDE?

Accompany’s core mission is to use style-conscious curation and editing to make products that give back to people in need, in developing markets.  In turn, this can raise the standard of living for low-income communities and marginalized populations around the world by channeling sustainable and responsible economic activity to struggling regions.  Accompany has participated in business development and training workshops for traditional artisans in China (sponsored by the U.S. Embassy), as well as funded the production of professional documentaries and photography to bring to life the realities of poverty, gender discrimination, unsafe working conditions and general abuse and exploitation in foreign countries that – through trade-based aid – can be gradually eased, if not alleviated.  Capturing these stories is critical to building greater awareness and motivating consumer culture towards preferring and choosing products with purpose.  Ultimately we envision a global impact that’s fueled by an economic engine, not just charitable donations.

Additionally, Accompany is regularly creating exclusive capsule collections that have unique philanthropic components that we fund ourselves. One of our most recent exclusive partnerships brought commerce and international market access to artisans in Kenya who created our Accompany x Soko exclusive jewelry collections. New artisans who worked with us on this project on average saw their incomes quadruple in the first 60 days of work – our partner uses a business model that allows artisans to retain 25-35% of the profits from the pieces the create, in contrast to the 3-5% revenue retention that is the industry standard. Through working with this artisan collective, Accompany was able to contribute to the economic growth of the community, as well as provide sustainable sources of income for participating artisans.

DOES ACCOMPANY FOCUS ITS DEVELOPMENT AND GIVE-BACK STRATEGY TO THE UNITED STATES AS WELL?

Yes, our goal is to help people in need, wherever they may be around the world.  For example, one of our partners employs formerly homeless women in Los Angeles to create beautiful, hand-poured candles.  Another features jewelry handcrafted by women in Tennessee who have overcome addiction, providing them with stable, long-term employment to support their rehabilitation process.

HOW DOES ACCOMPANY ENSURE THE PRODUCTS IT SELLS ARE ARTISAN-MADE, FAIR TRADE AND/OR PHILANTHROPIC?

Although Accompany makes an effort to personally visit each of our artisans to ensure its ethical practices in the manufacturing the products Accompany sells to you, we do not have an opportunity to visit all of our suppliers.  Therefore, Accompany relies on the artisans as well as our designers, partners, and other third parties to report any ethical issues that they may become aware of to us. Product claims made on this website are based on statements and information provided by our artisans, designers, partners, and other third parties.  To Accompany’s knowledge, the information stated on this site is accurate.  However, Accompany shall not be liable for any product statements that turn out to be incorrect, misleading, or incomplete
